Wide area search

The helicopter scans a wide area for missing persons.

Once the victim is within the coverage area (within a 10 km distance), the direction to the cellular phone is determined so that the helicopter can fly directly to the victim.
Close range search for buried victim
(e.g. avalanche, collapsed buildings)

The helicopter arrives to the deposit area and identifies all the cellular phones in the search area.

The Base Unit triggers and maintains communication with the cell phones so that their location can be determined with the hand held Search Unit.
