<p>Yesterday three teenage boys were found at sea outside New Zealand after drifting 50 days in a small boat.</p>
<p>They managed to survive on rainwater, two coconuts and a seagull.</p>

Associated with this problem is the need to have good working relationship with local public safety answering points, such as 911 in North America, to ensure the rapid and accurate transfer of marine distress calls to the appropriate MRCC</em><em>&#8220;</em><em> </em>(Maritime Rescue Co-ordination Centre)<em>.</em></p>
